Assistant Professor of Economics Michael Olabisi Named Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow

Pepperdine Magazine is the feature magazine for ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ and its growing community of alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends.

Michael Olabisi, assistant professor of economics at the Graziadio School of Business and Management, will be one of 59 African-born scholars based in the United States and Canada traveling to Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda for 14 to 90 days as a Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow to conduct academic projects at host universities in those countries.

The Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program is designed to avert Africa’s brain drain, build capacity at the host institutions, and develop long-term, mutually beneficial collaborations among universities in Africa, the United States, and Canada.
